PM Hands Over RM75,500 Govt Contribution For Mosques, Surau In Kapar
PORT KLANG, Aug 17 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today handed over a RM75,500 government contribution for mosques and surau in the Kapar parliamentary constituency.
He handed over the contribution after performing the Isyak and Tarawih prayers together with some 2,500 faithful at the As-Sa’adah mosque in Bandar Baru Sultan Sulaiman here.
The recipients were 23 mosques and 105 surau with each mosque getting RM1,000 while the surau RM500 each.
Najib, who is also Umno president and Selangor Umno chief, also presented a special contribution of RM15,000 to the Bandar Baru Sultan Sulaiman’s Senior Citizens Association and RM10,000 to the surau in Phase 4 of the town.
He also presented contributions of RM5,000 each for the surau in Cemara Flast, Phase 2, and Customs surau, all three in Bandar Baru Sultan Sulaiman.
The prime minister also presented aid of RM7,000 to four victims of a fire in the area.
Also present was Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Noh Omar, who is also Selangor Umno deputy chief, and Sementa assemblyman Datuk Abdul Rahman Palil.
