Future Leaders Expand Creativity, Inovation – PM
PETALING JAYA, Sept 26 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak tonight said the challenges for future leaders were to expand creativity and innovation beyond the area of entrepreneurship and business.
He said young Malaysians who will be the future leaders of tomorrow need to seriously look at creative ways to unite the people of Malaysia, to create a positive economic and social environment for Malaysians to prosper.
“In other words, I want all of you to go out and create a better future for Malaysia and for yourself,” he said in his speech at the Junior Chamber International Creative Young Entrepreneur Award (JCI CYEA) 2011 night here.
The text of his speech was read out by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Idris Jala.
Naib said creativity was vital for a person if he or she wanted to compete and succeed in the international market.
“Creativity gives you the much needed edge over the competitors, whether it is creativity in design, manufacturing, Epackaging, service, marketing or distribution,” he said.
The winners of JCI CYEA 2011 were Global Green Synergy Sdn Bhd managing director (MD) Joseph Lim Heng Ee, Kian Classic Design Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Kenny Yap Kian Wee and Ban Lee Hin Engineering and Construction Sdn Bhd MD/Chairman Datuk Tony Looi Chee Hong.
Joseph Lim was also chosen to compete in the international stage, representing his business in the World JCI CYEA 2011 to be held in Belgium this November 2011.
The JCI CYEA was launched in 2005 worldwide by JCI as their yearly programme.
It was introduced to honour exceptionally creative young entrepreneurs over their success.
