PM’s Transformation Programme For Every Segment Of Community
KOTA MARUDU, Sept 26 – The prime minister’s transformation programme is meant to impact every segment of the community, including rural folks, said Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili.
He said the transformation programmes, including National Key Result Areas (NKRAs), National Key Economic Areas and Economic Transformation Programme were not only meant for the urban folks.
“The leaders, including those at community level, must know about all changes taking place. This is because they must play their role in facilitating the changes, as well as inform the grassroot communities on the transformation being initiated by the government,” he added.
Ongkili said this when opening a two-day Parti Bersatu Sabah working camp for the Tandek and Matunggong party divisions under his Kota Marudu parliamentary constituency in Matunggong near here today.
He said the government’s unprecedented decision to abolish the Internal Security Act (ISA) and Emergency Ordinance was political transformation taking place.
“This is the first time total transformational process is taking place,” he added.
Also present at the camp were State Assembly Deputy Speaker and PBS information chief Datuk Johnny Mositun, Matunggong assemblyman Sarapin Magana and Tandek assemblyman Anita Baranting, who also delivered seminar papers.
